Altered Gatefold Card (Step by Step!)

This "Gatefold"card has been altered to have 3 interweaving panels on the top. Below is how it looks when open.

To begin:
Cut an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper down to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.
Fold it in half just until you can make a crease mark in the middle, and then fold each side in to meet that crease line. Do NOT fold the paper entirely in half. This way you won't have a line down the middle of your card!

2nd:
Cut 3 pieces the size shown below out of white paper. These pieces glue directly to the front of your card.

3rd:
Cut 3 pieces the size shown below using pattern paper with the colors you want. These will be glued on top of the pieces shown above in step 2.

Once all your pieces are cut, glue them to the card and add your embellishments.

I am definitely a YOUTUBER at heart and I learn by seeing not writing, so I will encourage you to visit me at my YouTube channel to view the LIVE STREAM and then the archived video for more detailed instruction how this card is put together.
See you there!!

XOXO

Sasayaki Glitter on the Come and Get it Challenge!

Click on the header above to enter the challenge yourself and to view all the rules!

I used a Sasayaki Glitter image for the challenge. His name is "Winter Kiddles"

You can purchase him here: CLICK

Isn't he the cutest?!
I love him the most because
he stands for my
crafty FaceBook group
called
KOALA T CRAFTS!!

To join as
on the Facebook group
go here:

I made a 5x5 inch card base with a solid black background piece. The little holes I punched to create a faux snow background.

The blue texture behind the Koala is a paper towel scrap I used when I water colored his hat using Tim Holtz Distress ink in
"peacock feathers".

The final touches were sequins, stars and
"Magic Scraps" for snow on the bottom!
You can also see tiny bits of multi colored Washi Tape sticking out here and there for
some added interest.
