Jen Evers
Create "wow!" projects on a budget, FAST, EASY and Step by Step! I'll show you how! I'm a hybridism inspired creatively artsy lady expressing my relativity to the world by borrowing and sharing motivating and outrageously fun art ideas! Paper art, fancy fold cards, hand made cards, tutorials and more! In other words, I create helpful, clear, instructional tutorial style videos (using new and old ideas) and putting my own twist on it!  Instagram: koalatcrafts

Michelle Calvert PaperCraftingOnaDime

I'm a Texas mom of adult kids who has been playing with paper my entire life. I love to create! What's more, I find that I am overall a happier person when I spend time creating things. Be it Art, Food or Decorations. I am an event coordinator by profession and have used my skills to create elaborate room designs, tablescapes, invitations and favors for weddings, parties of every occasion, fundraisers and corporate events. I work with jewelry, stained glass and paintings but mostly, I love paper! Many of my projects are for others as gifts or swaps with the creative people I am blessed to call friends. I use tools to create pattern paper and embellishments to get the most bang for my buck. In my blog, I share my creations and money saving crafty ideas along with tips, tricks, techniques and tools used to get specific effects. Instagram: calvertelectric

Sharon Cameron  piece-ofheart

I'm from Canada and I LIVE to stamp, color, and create! Arts and Crafts was always my favorite subject in school. I loved working with paper, glue, and scissors and exploring my creativity. Eventually I got into card making and when I'm not working, I enjoy using my free time to carefully and thoughtfully create cards for my friends and family. I am always involved in blog hops and have been on several Design Teams over the years. I’m a very creative person and card making is just one way I fulfill my passion to create. Alina Florea   www.alliella.com

I am a former teacher of English from Romania. I love crafting of all types and I think this is because I come from a family where almost everyone is skilled at something: painting, sewing, wood carpentry, looming etc. I have been experimenting since I was in kindergarden, but I 5 years ago was the moment when I seriously started. At first was jewelry for myself, because I always like to have something out of the ordinary. Then I had my first orders. Soon after, I discovered paper crafting which quickly became addictive. And so it all started! From my first butterfly punch, I now have a small crafting room where I love experimenting and playing with supplies. Because we, my hubby, our little puppy and I, temporarily live in Norway and I am currently unemployed, I have a loooot of free time to make thinks that I think bring a little something to a consumerism intoxicated world.

Jennifer Marker jenmarker
I'm from Oklahoma. I have 1 daughter who's 20. Been with my other half 9 years. I enjoy crafting of any kind. But prefer making cards. I love doing challenges because it makes me think outside the box.

Deb Witt   debcraftyfarmgirl
Hi there! My name is Deb and I am The Crafty Farmgirl! I am Market Manager for a group of 28 physicians and advanced practitioners, which funds my paper addiction. My farmgirl roots run deep, having grown up on a small farm in North Central Oklahoma. I owe my work ethic to those roots. I owe my love of all types of crafting to my mom, now in heaven, whose hands were always busy with quilting, crocheting, knitting, and our shared love of paper crafting. I have 4 grandchildren I adore and they inspire me daily. Of late, I have ventured into more than cards and pages and upcycle frames, wooden cigar boxes, and even paint cans into fun paper projects. I love sharing creativity both through my new blog and gathering with friends to try new techniques.  Instagram: farmgirlsensibilities

WATERMELON CARD

Hey Crafters! Nothing says SUMMER like Watermelon!

Today, we will make this super cute Watermelon Card and the best part is... there is NO template needed!

My inspiration for this card came from www.galachko.blogspot.com

Click the link for the YouTube video
Jen Evers YouTube

See below for Supplies and Instructions

Project Supplies:
A2 White Card Base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and extra white paper
Green paper cut 4 x 5 1/4
Scissors
Colored Pencils  http://amzn.to/2rl5WX1
Prismacolor Blender  http://amzn.to/2rv7mll
MS Doily Lace Punch  http://amzn.to/2t6MfmW
    or Decorative Edge Scissors
Foam Tape http://www.koalatcrafts.com/store/p26/
Glossy Accents  http://amza.to/2sC5Q0Q
Clear Embossing Powder  http://amzn.to/2s5wKxe
Heat Gun  http://amzn.to/2rN9p1f
Versamark Ink  http://amzn.to/2t6CUvr
Dots Embossing Folder  http://amzn.to/2trrJwH
Alphabet stamp set or stickers

Instructions:
  1. Draw & cut watermelon shape on white paper.  Make sure the shape will fit on your card front.
  2. Color watermelon using colored pencils in a variety of greens making stripes with lighter centers, See Photo Above.
  3. Blend colors with blender pencil or other technique you like.
  4. Cut watermelon out. Cut a thin rectangle out of brown for stem and using a corner rounder, round one edge of stem.
  5. Place VersaMark all over the front of the watermelon.  Make sure it has a good coat all over it.  Sprinkle it with clear embossing powder.  Using your heat gun, carefully heat set the embossing powder. Watch the magic happen! Set aside.
  6. Place card front in embossing folder and run through your embossing machine.
  7. Use edge punch to punch the edge of the bottom of the card front or use decorative scissors or cut in scallop. It's Your Card!
  8. Using your 4x5 1/4 inch green paper, place that inside the card where your note will be.
  9. Cut a triangle out of the extra piece of white paper to be watermelon slice.  It doesn't have to be perfect.  Place the triangle behind the watermelon and round the top of the triangle so that it matches the roundess of the watermelon.  HOLD THE PIECES TOGETHER
  10. Flip the watermelon over, trace the watermelon slice where you want it to slide out from on the front.  Next to the tracing lines, please foam tape. This will keep the triangle from moving from side to side when inserted in the space.
  11. Color the triangle slice and rind.  Attach the stem.
  12. Dry fit both pieces to card for placement.
  13. Adhere watermelon on card using the foam tape previously applied to the back.
  14. Add sentiment to strip of white paper using Versafine Black ink.  Adhere to the front of card with foam tape on the sides.
  15. Add Glossy Accents to the slice rind and allow to dry thoroughly. NOTE Glossy Accents takes at least an hour to dry.
If you have a letter stamp set, you can always change the sentiment to suit your needs!!!  One of my favorite watermelon sentiments is "You're One in a Melon"
