WEEK #4

What else can be done with these inks? Whether you are using your DIY alcohol inks or purchased ones, there are different surfaces that they can be used on. If the surface is absorbent, the ink will soak in and it won't move. So, a shiny, glossy side is required.

One such surface is glossy cardstock. This is a slightly thick cardstock that has an absorbent side on one side and a smooth, shiny finish on the other. It's very comparable to photo paper.

Apply your inks as if it was Yupo paper. Try making it run, blowing it and then using a straw! It should move and blend similarily.

A viewer of the prior videos sent in a masterpiece she created on MIRRORED cardstock! Oh my gosh, it was so very beautiful! The gold showed through in spots and the shine brightened the colors. You'll get a chance to see it!

So naturally, the process was repeated to show the viewers how to achieve these results. What about mirrored cardstock? Yes, cardstock that you can see yourself in! How would the inks look on gold?
