It's time to announce the winner for the Friday Challenge #11!
If you aren't familiar with our Friday Challenges over at Koala T Crafts, let me take a moment to fill you in . . .

This Facebook group challenge runs every week, Friday to Friday. There are 2 theme options and suggested projects to help give you some direction. Congratulations, Pamela Hugger Wilber!

Distress Ink & Salt Technique

Hello!!!

As some of you may know, I do YouTube live streams on Thursdays from 6 PM to 7 PM CST, and on Sundays from 2 PM to 3 PM CST. You can also catch my 5 minute card video on Wednesdays. I'd love to have you come by and hang out with me while I create!

Last week I shared with my viewers how to get this lovely texture for projects using ink, water and salt. You can use pretty much any kind of salt. In my Live Stream I used Epsom Salt, but you can use sea salt, table salt, whatever you have on hand.

Okay folks! Grab your paper, inks, a paintbrush, some water, and you guessed it... Salt! Remember, you don't have to have the most expensive materials. Just pull out what you have and experiment. Get those creative juices flowing. Who knows, you may come up with the next great technique!

Here is a sample of this stunning technique used on a card.

If you'd like to watch the live stream recording, (and maybe folow along) simply click the play button below!

Thursday Live Stream Winner and Announcement

Hello Koala T peeps!

We have a winner for the YouTube live stream this week!

Every Thursday, I choose a random winner from my viewers to receive the project that I make during the stream.

Unfortunately, due to lack of interest, this is my last one.

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who have stopped in to encourage me and spend time with me while I create.

Congratulations!!!

This week's winner is lucky number 7, Michelle Calvert, who will be receiving this image that was colored during the live stream.

Thank you for being a part of my crafty fun!

Freebie Friday Challenge #11

It's time for another Freebie Friday Challenge!

This week, as we start to see beautiful flowers in bloom, we'd like to see you do something with the flowers and/or the color red.

As always, we encourage you to use one or more of the printables posted during the week. This isn't a requirement though, as we know that not everyone has access to a printer. If this is the case for you, but you still want to participate, we'd love to see what you create! Just make something using whatever you have in your crafty stash, as long as it stays within the guidelines for this week's theme.

Once you've finished your project, simple upload it to the album for this weeks challenge. Remember! We'd love to hear about what materials and techniques you used to create your entry, so please add a short excerpt when you upload your image. After this is done, challenge lead Michelle Calvert will comment on your image with a number. This number will represent your image in the random.org drawing for the winner.

As always, you must be a member of the Koala T Crafts Facebook page to enter into the challenge.

The deadline for entering this challenge is Friday, April 28th at midnight.

The winner will be announced the following weekend.

Congratulations, Anthony Macalusco!!!

Anthony created this beautiful Easter themed A2 card by layering patterned paper, solid colored embossed paper, and a design he created using a stencil with the Nuvo embellishment mousse. He didn't stop there! He added additional texture and interest  with some baker's twine and bling, along with a  sentiment that is raised using foam tape.

Great job, Anthony!
