Tutorial ~ Mini Shaker Card

Hey Crafters! Lets make these fun Shaker Cards!
We're making minis today. It's super simple and fun to make.
Best of all they are ADORABLE!!

Check out the complete tutorial HERE
Scroll down for supply list and easy links

BASIC SUPPLIES:
Coin Holders - http://amzn.to/2tPKvyC

Instructions:
1. Cut the 2 halves of the coin holder apart, lay the pieces on your work surface how they came apart as they fit back together in 1 specific way.
2. This is the best time to decorate the front piece, before assembly. These instructions will continue as if you have already decorated the front and allowed it to dry, if necessary. Tips on decorating are below.
3. Use your nonstick scissors to cut the foam tape to the length to fit the edge of the coin pocket. Cut this length into thin strips; be careful not to cover the circular window.
TIP ~ You can make a double thickness of foam if your shaker elements are thicker.
4. Lay the strips on the very edge so that the corners come together and no glitter or sequins will escape your shaker. Cut tiny strips to squeeze in to gaps if necessary. Leave backing on.
5. Use your Embossing Buddy Anti Static Tool on the window inside the foam tape (backing still on). DIY Video Here
6. Add sequins, glitter, tiny beads or other elements to the circular area.
7. Dry fit the other top piece on to the foam, you will feel if it is off.
8. Remove tape backing and attach the 2 pieces together, pressing to create a tight seal.
9. Shake, Shake, Shake!
10. Photograph your creations and share in the KoalaTCrafts Facebook page HERE.

Decorating Tips!
The sky is the limit when it comes to decorating these cute little shakers. Dig into your stash and let your imagination run wild.
For stamping on the coin holders, use Stayzon Ink and allow it to dry completely to avoid smudges.

Watercolor Vellum Card Tutorial

Hey Crafters!
Today we are creating a Watercolor Vellum Card.
I saw a version of this card by Graciellie Design and I knew I had to share it with you.

This stunning card is surprisingly easy to put together with just a few supplies.
Check out the process on YouTube HERE.
Scroll down for supplies and project overview!

Supplies:
Watercolor Paper or
   Neenah Solar White Cardstock
Watercolor  paints
PaintBrush
Water
Vellum
ATG Tool
Maymay Made It Stamp - Healer
Versa mark Embossing Ink
Embossing Powder
Heat ToolSequins
Foam Tape

Instructions:
Start with 5 1/4" by 4 inch piece of cardstock or watercolor paper.  Choose any two favorite colors from your watercolor set. I'm using Peerless Watercolor in Turquoise Blue, Daffodil Yellow for the first card. I used red and blue from an inexpensive watercolor set from the Dollar Store in the second card and it works just as well.

Start by wetting your paper with a brush, concentrating on the top Left and Bottom Right corners and working in to the venter. Load some color on your brush and tap along the top corner. If the paper is too wet, blot with cloth or towel or whatever you have handy. Repeat in with second color in bottom corner. TIP! Tap your brush instead of really painting to get a patch like effect with lighter and darker spots of color. You can control the color by adding more or less water. You can even add more color by drying and applying another layer.
Add some drops of color randomly by tapping the brush loaded with color, over the cardstock and your background is ready.

Trim the vellum to desired size leaving it long enough to wrap around the card.  I trimmed it to 3 x 5 inches wide.  Make sure the vellum is straight on the front. Use adhesive on the back to secure.

Lets heat emboss the sentiment! Use versamark clear embossing ink to stamp your sentiment and cover with black embossing powder. Use the heat tool to set it.  I love to watch the magic happen as the powder turns shiny!

Now that your panel is all ready, attach it to a A2 size white card base (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") using foam tape. For a nice finishing touch, add a few sequins with liquid glue and your card is complete.

Birthday Gift Drift...

Hey Crafters!
This gorgeous Friday continues as I use
STAMPENDOUS'
"Cling Gift Drift"
stamp set to create this fun layered card for:

Click on their logo above to check out their rules
and enter the challenge!

In this card, I used a light alcohol marker color that
complemented the card colors to create a
"see through" strip of ribbon going across the card!

The stamp set I used can be found here:
CLING GIFT DRIFT - http://amzn.to/2uTNBlc

To create the look of the gift floating over the top of
everything, I stamped it once on the card directly,
then stamped a 2nd image and colored
it separately, fussy cutting the gift and the balloons!

VIOLA!
A super cute card!
