8 Cards 1 Sheet of Paper

8 Cards 1 sheet of paper

Jen surprised us with an impromptu video chat on Tuesday (2/27/18) because
she was taking Friday Free Play (3/2/18) off to enjoy her birthday!

Hope your Birthday was awesome!

FRIDAYS

On Fridays, Jen spends an hour live on YouTube chatting with her Koala T
Community during her show, Friday Free Play. She starts out showing a tip,
trick, idea or technique and no one knows what may come of it as she mixes
her imagination and viewer’s suggestions throughout the hour. (Free Play, right?)

WEDNESDAYS

On Wednesdays, Jen does a live series on YouTube called
One in Ten by Jen: Card InJENuity from mailbox to masterpiece!

She uses a viewer’s sent envelope, stuffed full of card making goodies,
and attempts to make a card using only those items within 10 minutes.
She does not look inside, she opens the envelope right in front of her viewers.
Sometimes she will have to use her own card base or jump up to get a punch.

She does a good job, watching the monitor, joining in on the chat then quickly
looking down at her task, making the ears on her Koala Hat wiggle at us!!
No matter if you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced card maker, you can
join in the fun on Wednesday and Friday nights!

LIVE Koala-T-Crafts at 5:00 pm.CST

ONE SHEET WONDER

8 CARDS FROM ONE SHEET OF PAPER

Back to Tuesday night, Jen showed us how to make 8 Cards out of 1
Sheet of paper.

She started with eight white card bases.
(she uses Neenah White Exact Index) and made her sentiments out of extra
paper. Now you don't have to make circles, or punch them out or even stamp
them! That’s what I mean by Free Play. Maybe you would like to use stickers
or no sentiment at all and jazz up the front with buttons, ribbon, cut outs,
twine, rub ons, and more. Then put the sentiment inside or leave it blank.

(Here comes the interesting part…) Jen told us all we have to do is take one
sheet of paper, 8 ½” x 11” or 12” x 12”, and jazz it up! She used stamps and ink,
rainbow colors, butterflies, polka dots and swirls. But you could do any stamps,
or any color you wanted. She even suggested using patterned paper and paper
piecing. Let your imagination take over! The only rule (now this is the tricky part),
is to cut your paper down into symmetrical or even eight parts and attach them
to your eight card bases. If you use an 8 ½”x 11 then your eight card bases
would be 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  If you use a 12 x 12” piece of paper, your eight card
bases would measure 6”x 6”.
