 HEAR YE, HEAR YE!¨

Tim Holtz Released

2018
CHRISTMAS IDEA-OLOGY RELEASE!

What could be sweeter sounding than that? Any of you that have been following my blog know that I SWOON over Tim Holtz! (Well, not HIM, of course!) But this is my 2nd most favorite holiday (Halloween, my first!)!! Even over my birthday and that's big, right?!

I am so excited to be bringing you this news! Maybe some have already heard it and if you have, isn't it exciting??

There is so many NEW things as well as some good old favorites! Because there is so very many items I won't have enough room, (Or you'll fall asleep by the end)I will just mention the older items and give you as many photos as I can of the new stuff. Please be forgiving of the blurriness in some photos. It was a Facebook video and no matter how I tweaked it, I just could not make it go away. So, it is what it is.

Let´s look at some Christmas items!

8¨x 8¨ Paper pad had some favorites from years past. You will find new colors added of coral and a light teal. Unique but they fit in with the vintage feel.

8¨x 8¨ Paper Pad, 2 sheets of each,
 back-to-back design

Teal and pink added for Christmas

There are some specialty papers like the one similar to the flock in the Halloween pad, this mini polka dot black flocked paper feels just as rich. There is one foil design, an old ledger background with golden stars. Then my favorite, an acetate with sparkles and snow flurries!! Can you say "Festive"!?

Great for shaker cards or snow globes!

We have to talk about the design tape! They are rolls of washi tape in different widths. They just so happen to match the pattern papers exactly!

On to the Worn Wallpaper-Christmas! It was first seen at Halloween and was such a huge hit that they decided to bring it back. Worn wallpaper, with all it's rich colors and texture, was inspired by vintage gift wrap!

Bold, rich holiday colors and everyday specials

Holiday Box tops are cool. They fit right over the vignette boxes to create shadowbox or a vignette! (I will have to make one of those!)

4 sizes of box tops to glue together

There are also holiday clippings. There are so many new holiday sayings added that they had to add an extra sheet. These parts of sentences are actual clippings from vintage books! The type is exactly how they were found. They are cut wonky on purpose, by design.

Holiday Rub-Ons can be put on anything!

Noel Holiday Paper Dolls have a seasonal flair! Love the way the kids look! And the warm coats everyone has! There is even a gentleman with a walking stick! These can be distress tinted using Distress Markers and a Q-tip!

Fancy and fun addition, Paper Dolls

43 pieces of Seasonal Fun!

Then we have Ephemera! Die cuts, labels, journaling cards, tags and more!

Holiday SNIPPETS are the exact items that you would find in the larger package only scaled down to do pocket watches, shadow boxes and the like!

86 Christmas Snippets!

NOTE for Online Shoppers; Pay attention to what the name of the product is. DON'T go by picture alone! (INSIDE HINT: the ephemera and Snippets sell out the fastest!)

Holiday Red Fringe, Quote chips have been favorites. Along comes the NEW Collage Paper! First introduced at Halloween, thought to be a favorite once people had the chance to view tutorials on it. When put on wet glue or watercolor, the liquid seems to almost absorb leaving only a translucent print. Not just in black and white, the NEW addition is colored. Can you see this popping on a card?

Colored collage sheet

Woodlands aren't new but the holidays will be the only time you can purchase them! If you want Easter or summer scenes, make sure you have purchased enough of these! Three regular sizes and a ginormous one, cut in half to add to the bunch! It fits the vignette trays perfectly!

Woodland trees can be colored
and decorated in many ways

There are Woodland Slices, real slices of trees with real bark and rings in the wood. Trinket tins are just adorable and I would want them just to hoard!

Check on Google, YouTube, and Pinterest for ideas on all of these items!

Vintage reproductions: Christmas Star and Christmas Coins

Tim loves these Thimbles so much that he declared they will be available all year round! There is so much detail that the camera cannot pick up!

Icicles inspired by the icicles that Tim puts out every year for the winter holidays. Small enough to adorn your vignettes!

Plain and colored Bobbles
These pearl-like Bobbles are perfectly round and have NO hole! Excellent idea to change them to Mercury Glass with Distress alcohol inks!

And finally, what would a holiday release be without a Santa. Here, he was colored with Distress Paint and while it was still damp, it was rubbed which removed some of the paint. A Distress crayon in vintage photo antiques the piece when wiped away.

Vintage resin Santa

His partner in crime...a vintage SNOWMAN! He was search for just the right detail. Created from a vintage image, the hat and carrot nose are perfect to pair with Santa's smile and sack of toys!

So, this ends the long list of the Holiday Release of Idea-ology! Watch your Instagram and Facebook for mini-tutorials and snippets by Tim Holtz and friends teaching techniques with many of these pieces. Clicking on the picture or the description below will take you to the Tim Holtz video on YouTube. It may be slightly different than this blog because I saw it on Facebook the day he released it!

Video of 2018 Christmas Release

These cool 2018 Christmas items will be shipped to your retailer sometime next week. Watch for them to be available at your favorite craft store! But REMEMBER these items are just available for the holiday release! When they are gone, they are gone!

There is one thing I did learn from Tim that amazes me. (We are on first name basis...
wink, wink) All Idea-o-logy items are ALWAYS
vintage inspired! If it's not an exact replica, it is very close! Torn Wallpaper is inspired by vintage wrapping paper. Adornments that are exact replicas of vintage trinkets that Tim has found. Icicles that are created after the vintage full-size ones along Tim's bookshelves at Holiday time.

I want to leave you with his smile. Please excuse the arrow from Facebook.
